Marcha de las Malvinas
On June 10 of each year Argentina commemorated the Appointment of the First Argentine Governor Falkland Islands in 1829. In that year, the Government of Buenos Aires appointed Governor of the Archipelago to Luis Vernet who was working in the settlement of Port Louis. This is a milestone among the background that support for Argentina claims sovereignty over the Islands.

In 1939, the "Recovery Board of the Falklands", through a contest, selected the best-musical poetic composition. Had that honor the work of José Tieri in music, and Carlos Obligado in the letter. From there, singing the March of the Malvinas in the celebratory events and reclamatorios Sovereign Rights.
