Readers of this even foolish corner of the blogosphere know that this post comes with the end of the year. I tend to write and publish on the last day of December, but recent events compel me to speed up your writing. It's as if I had the great need today to tell you that in my head is an open secret: 2010 was a year regrettable.

A car accident this morning was the catalyst for writing the post. An oversight, two seconds and when you think you've hit bottom, the 2010 decides fulminarte in his last hours while laughter seems to be assumed when doing so. Cursed year, wroth with me life miserable just as his final hours began to consume him. I've tried to deal with some courage and With a Little Help From My Friends , But 2010 seems determined not to leave without one last battle in his quest to become the worst year of the decade ahead. I think this year I am a reflection of what Mexico is: it worked in spite of myself.

Aaron Sorkin is a genius. Only way to explain his ability to write a script is really perfect as that of The Social Network. In fact, I think that watching this film you have to agree with Guillermo Arriaga when competing for the authorship of a film is shared between producer and scriptwriter for although the talent its director David Fincher is undeniable, the film would not be so remarkable without the tremendous ability of Sorkin to write audiovisual works that become transcendent. That was when he made the script for The West Wing or extraordinary Studio 60 at the Sunset Strip , and whether made in this work Sorkin reflections on historical moments in the United States with global impact, as it now the phenomenon known as Facebook , but above all those little moments that happen within the small group of people who were involved in the process of creating a cyber phenomenon whose dimensions are still unable (or perhaps able) dimensions.

The problem is simple: there was no need to make two films latest book Harry Potter: The Deathly Hallows.

Let me emphasize something that this blog has done to the course of his nearly 7 years of life: cinema and literature are two completely languages different and even works as a support film with some of literature, should be seen as something completely different. I understand the difficulty of the case, but the stands to watch a movie and read a book are different in every sense of the word so a film can never be equal to a book, and vice versa. The idea of \u200b\u200badapting the book 100% of Harry Potter into a movie, I find it quite preposterous therefore this is a film that could be a great climax, but it becomes an entirely far-fetched to try to be exact copy of what JK Rowling wrote the last book in the series about the now teenage wizard. One three-hour movie would have resulted in something enough, something much more in line with the type of film that one expects to see as part of the genre they belong to the Harry Potter. But here is a film made exclusively for those who really are stuck in the history of Potter and that somehow or another you have to face ever read through the film.

yet the fact is a shame because for the first time in 7 films are really positive things in a movie Potterian. When you finally get to Hogwarts actors and break the story lines from previous films (which corresponded to the school year at wizard school) the characters finally begin to take on interesting dimensions. And there I was, walking between a line of Harry Potter fans that probably took hours to watch a film that could have been any other day. Gordon loves me because I share with him two things: the obsession with music and everything to do lists.

Biutiful hurts. It's a film that points directly to the bowels, and yet has an aesthetic beauty and interpretative that becomes a very human work, which has nod to fantasy represented by the hope of life after death where there is space in which the final redemption is possible. Alejandro

González Iñárritu has shot a film in which the human being is stripped as an emotional entity subscribed to their own circumstances that may not give you access to higher strata in its existence. And yet, despite the context in which it is located, to González Iñárritu man is always in a constant journey in search of what you do beyond, in search of love, in search of redemption. Will succeed or not, it depends on the glass we want to look at this trip, but will fight with all his might to achieve a kind of salvation that gives you a peace that has almost no nature.

The film is set in Barcelona. And if Barcelona is a city as diverse, multicultural, but as this seems to be the best introduction to the other side of the coin we find a city full of immigrants struggling to survive, living in extreme conditions, who live the manufacture of pirated and subhuman conditions. It is a world of betrayal and constant abuse of human beings on the other. And yet, there is this desire for transcendence, that almost morbid desire for change, for improvement. Uxbal ( Javier Bardem) is a man who understands that life is just a step a way. Thus maximum concern is to make that road a better, fairer. He faces several crossroads: on one hand you have a terminal cancer that is slowly consuming, it is becoming a human being dependent on others. But how dependent on others, when others, many depend on it? How to prepare for the final travel, when there are too many left on his own life? He is a man tormented by his context, his circumstances, for a city that devours slowly. It is a kind full of love to give while living trapped in a pathetic existence, accompanied by bad luck. It has the "gift" to help people die just to go from this world to the next helping them find peace in the latter way. It is his gift, but at the same time is his curse. He himself knows he will soon have to cross the bridge, but is not ready (really who is? Rodrigo Garcia is a very interesting director. Has done a very solid series Big Love as or The Sopranos , in addition to films like Passengers. But his best work are when exploring the world of women. His debut Things You Can Tell Just by Looking At Her was a good example. In his latest film Mother & Chil d, Garcia decides to explore the complex and very special relationship between mothers and daughters, a relationship which could be difficult to understand for a man, even knowing that those ties so special between a mother and daughter is always present.

Garcia takes several stories to bring different types of relationships between mother and daughter. Part of the story of Karen ( Anette Bening), a woman tied to his dying mother Nora ( Eileen Ryan), who marked her forever to make her up for adoption to a daughter at age 14 . The story of Karen and her mother is marked by a relationship love - hate, a product of personal tragedy that meant for both unwanted pregnancy and forced detachment of the baby. For Karen this marks not only his relationship with his mother but also with others.

The daughter given up for adoption is Elizabeth ( Naomi Watts), a woman also marked by the death of an adoptive parent who loved her deeply and nonexistent relationship with his adoptive mother. Meet a successful lawyer named Paul (Samuel L.
