Of The King's Speech ...

Seven Readers !!... There

films made for the sole purpose of being nominated for the Oscar . King's Speech is one of them. executive producers Bob Weinstein Harvey and business know they have been producing films like The English Patient, Pulp Fiction, The Lord of The Rings, The Fighter and The Aviator to name a few movies who have funded and ultimately won any number of Academy Awards Hollywood . In other words know the formula for success to come up with the taste of the members of the Academy and out of an awards ceremony with several Oscars under his arm.
And although they have produced films that have come out victorious risky, they know perfectly what is the formula for secure nominations. The Speech of the King is a film: a film to come out winning formula. I'm not saying by this that we are confronting a very original film and cinematic qualities lacking, but if we put a little head to the matter we see that the film contains some features that have proven effective part of a formula to win a victory in the Best Picture category:
1 - tells the story of a character with physical disabilities who will have to overcome to reach beyond.
2 - Place the film in an important historical moment. If it can be before, during or after some kind of war that certainly helps. It provides secure nominations in the categories of art direction and costumes, both the catapult to achieve recognition in other major.
3 - has solid script, but not out of the traditional rules, a script full of intelligent dialogue, particularly between the main characters.
4 - has a climactic climax, exciting, with some epic background music. About the same building and an assembly that can see how that time is transcendent to the context of the film.
5 - The cast is made up of great actors, able to move fully to the audience and achieved memorable performances.
And Voila! Here we have a winning film audiences and of course the members of the Academy. This is the case of the king's speech.
Director Tom Hooper (whose previous film United Damn it seems more original) tells an epic story: the king of England stutter George VI and his struggle to become a good monarch at a crucial moment in British history: the onset of World War II. A man who comes to the throne after the abdication of his brother controversial Eduardo . supported by his wife Elizabeth, Jorge found in the Australian maestro Lionel Logue diction who not only assist you to overcome your disability, but also become one of his greatest friends.
is no doubt that film's best moments are those that occur between Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush when Hooper decided to explore the relationship between two men coming from diametrically opposed worlds, when you become the support of another when both are filing a deep friendship.

the king's speech is a film told with great talent. It is a film well acted and full of great moments. However, it remains a movie built with the clear objective of winning an Oscar. After seeing - many months after his triumph - reaffirmed my feeling that the Academy should reward Social Network, a film more risky, more complete and complex, away from explicit fees do not have to determine the Oscars to the winners.

So things said Monday ...
